Beautiful Quincy on our Bespoke Anklets

Paige shares a beautiful photo of her buzzard, Quincy and she shares

"The expression “to watch someone like a hawk” certainly has truth behind it. These birds have amazing vision, often stated to be 8x better than our own. Depending on the source you read, a hawk is said to be able to spot its prey from a mile away! Their eyes are adapted to see in two ways: directly in front and off to the side. Hawks have two foveae (the part of the pupil that concentrates light and has the highest density of rods and cones) while we humans have only one. This is just ONE component of these birds’ spectacular vision."

We love seeing your bird's photos wearing our falconry equipment, so don't forget to tag us or email us at info@aclarkefalconry.co.uk.
