How did you start your Falconry journey?
My Great Grandad was a gamekeeper in Essex back in the day. I first saw ferrets which I thought were cats! This was when my love for the outdoors became my life. I travelled a lot due to my Dad being in the RAF but eventually went out with a friend of a friend with a Harris Hawk and the rest is history!
What was your first bird?
Harris Hawk.
What is your favourite bird to fly and why?
Harris Hawks as they are so versatile.
What is the most memorable moment you have experienced in Falconry so far?
Coming 1st in the flat race at Vowley!
What part of Falconry do you most enjoy and why?
Hunting falcons as it is an age-old way of putting food on the table.
What is your dream bird to fly and why?
Peregrine Falcon.
